Diablo's Cantina Part II
So we went back to Diablo's for a birthday celebration... Bad idea. The food was good, but the service was horrible and management was downright rude to us because all of our party did not show. We left early and probably won't be going back. Chicken tacos and Chupacabra, I will miss you, but not that much. ~

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant @ Town Square
Going out for rolls can sometimes break your pocketbook. Not if you visit Kabuki at Town Square during their Reverse Happy Hours. Along with some super specials on beers and sakes, they feature several of their menu items at a reduced price. Fast, friendly service and some absolutely awesome rolls and sakes to choose from. Another 'good times' place. ~

The Original Pancake House @ GVR
The portions are huge, even the sides are generous. Everything was so delicious.... from my egg white veggie omelette to their German potatoes with cheese. They serve up giant strips of thick cut bacon. And let's not forget about the pancakes. Mmm, pancakes. Choose your favorite from a variety or keep it simple with the basic buttermilk - any way, you can't go wrong.
It was busy as usual, especially for noon on Sunday, but we had no wait to be seated. The atmosphere itself is well-balanced: tv's mounted on the walls amidst the beautiful and colorful glass lamps and chandeliers. And the service was terrific; timely and very friendly.
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day... at The Original Pancake House @ GVR they make sure your most important meal is also your best! ~

Diablo's Cantina
Diablo's Cantina, located in front of the Monte Carlo on The Strip is a guaranteed sure thing when it comes to having fun! So much so, you just might not remember it all the next day ;)
A visit to Diablo's leaves very little lacking... Let's see, where shall I begin?
How about the TACOS! Or maybe, tacos and beer. Or better yet, tacos and beer and hot waitresses. And not to forget their super Wheel O' Sin, which, during happy hour, gets a spin every 30 minutes to reveal a new drink special.
Along with their absolutely fabulous happy hour specials, their menu is full of tempting and tasty dishes... anything from tacos, enchiladas and fajitas, to burgers and buffalo wings. Diablo's is also home to the Death Wing challenge (20 wings spiced with ghost chilis), as well as the Ultimate 4lb Burrito challenge. Put any one of these meals along side the Cantina's specialty drink, The Chupacabra (which consists of tequila, ginger soda, slices of fresh jalapeno and a chili-salt rim) and you've got MMM MMM good! And the best thing about the Chupacabra (besides it's spicy, yet refreshing taste) is that not only can you buy a glass of it, you can get an entire pitcher! The same is the case for several of the bar menu items.
Visit Diablo's if ever you have the opportunity. All around good times! ~

Bahama Breeze
For those of you who don't already know, there's a little treat at the corner of Flamingo & Paradise called Bahama Breeze. I've been there about 5 times now, and I never could understand why it isn't busier. I mean, it is pretty large inside, so maybe it just appears to be a little empty...
Anywho, today's visit more than met my expectations. We had drinks, an appetizer and two entrees. It was the Fire-roasted Jerk Shrimp to start. Served with warm, toasted Cuban bread to dip in the yummy garlic-butter sauce, it was a perfect beginning to a delicious meal.
Our entrees followed shortly after. First entree, Salmon grilled with a spice-jerk-barbecue sauce, served along side fried plantains and yellow rice with black beans... And might I add, the most delicious black beans I have ever had. Also, there was this mango/fruit salsa to go with the salmon - it was a the perfect accompaniment. Second entree, the Mahi-mahi, sauteed in a lemon cream sauce with shrimp. The sauce went wonderfully with the delicate, yet delectable fish. And all of this within only an hours' time.
All-in-all, Bahama Breeze is a terrific place for a quick lunch or a fun night out for dinner and drinks. Awesome food, awesome service and a great atmosphere! ~
